The first Cayman to receive RS treatment from Porsche, the 718 GT4 RS is designed for ultimate mid-engine performance featuring a 4.0-liter flat-six derived from the GT3 along with a low-ratio 7-speed PDK transmission, aggressive aerodynamics, and special lightweight construction. This launch-year example is finished in its premier color of Arctic Grey over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior with Arctic Grey stitching. It was ordered with the optional Weissach Package as well as colored seatbelts and instrument dials, LED headlights, the Chrono Package, and Front Axle Lift System. Originally delivered by Harris Porsche in Baton Rouge, this GT4 RS remains under full factory warranty and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Louisiana while showing under 100 miles on the odometer.

Based on the standard Cayman GT4, the RS is advanced further with functional air intakes behind the driver and passenger windows as well as a GT3-derived swan-neck mounted rear wing, a new front spoiler, and aerodynamically optimized underbody paneling with a connected rear diffuser. This example is finished in Porsche’s new Arctic Grey color and features optional window triangle trims in carbon fiber and LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+). The optional Weissach Package also adds an exposed carbon fiber front trunk lid, rear wing, exterior mirrors, and side air intakes along with 935-style titanium tailpipes and a “PORSCHE” logo across the upper windshield in Dark Silver. The car rides on 20” GT4 RS forged aluminum wheels in Dark Silver with “RS” logo center locks and ultra-high-performance Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 tires.

The cabin of the GT4 RS is optimized with lightweight carpeting and door panels featuring textile opening loops as well as reduced sound insulation, Full Bucket Seats, and a lightweight glass rear window. The optional Weissach Package also adds an exposed carbon fiber airbox with a silver “GT4 RS” logo in addition to Weissach-embroidered headrests and an upper dashboard in Race-Tex upholstery. This GT4 RS’s Black leather and Race-Tex interior features deviated Arctic Grey stitching as well as optional seatbelts in Arctic Grey, instrument dials in White, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial in White. Other options include the Front Axle Lift System, a fire extinguisher, the Light Design Package, and auto-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor.

Borrowed from the 911 GT3, the GT4 RS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that revs up to 9,000 rpm while producing up to 493 HP and 331 lb.-ft of torque. Using its short-ratio 7-speed PDK transmission, the car accelerates from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.2 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. The adjustable suspension also features RS-specific shock absorbers and anti-roll bars. The GT4 RS weighs in at 1,415 kg and was capable of lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 7 minutes and 9 seconds, a full 23 seconds faster than the standard 718 Cayman GT4.

This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, trunk accessories, and sales literature along with a clean title.

@ElCubano the quote was, build as many as possible until the Cayman transitions (to electrification). Every indication is the 2025 model will be electric. When that happens I am looking forward to what I expect will be significant appreciation of our 981 GT4 and 718 GTS 4.0.

Morning to all commenters/bidders, I've done my best to refrain from commenting solely due to the fact that the car is brand new and there are not many factual questions that can be asked/answered (as oppossed to opinions). What you see is what you get, photos, video, descriptions, etc... the car was shipped from Harris Porsche in Baton Rouge to my dealership here in New Orleans. The mileage on the car is solely delivery mileage in addition to her "photo-shoot" day. That's it...

And now for my own (opinions) based on my allocations/cars of the past/present/and future...

-I had a 718 GT4 CXX allocation that was killed by "COVID", ended up with a non CXX car which was great, but still...
-In addition to my client's car (the one for sale here)... The first three GT4RS's Harris Porsche recieved were all specced with the PDLS+ headlights, this car was the only one to receive them... (my PTS/PCCB/Weissach car did not come with the headlights I wanted).
    -Our in-bound 992 3RS was pushed back in production from a 2023 to a 2024 MY.
-Multiple 991.2 3RS's were sold and delivered without MAG wheels, carbon steering wheels, and carbon hoods.
-992 GT3 production was haulted from an engine shortage!!

NO ONE, knows production numbers, until it's all said and done.... but I can tell you The 718 GT4 e-Performance Concept car was lapping at Watkins Glen this past weekend, rather strongly I might add.

The Spyder RS is a convertible... completely different buyer there than a 4RS buyer/driver IMO.

In conclusion to all statements above and all comments below, no one is wrong. The truth is that this is a brand new car, that recieved all of the requested options/equipment and did not suffer from any production delays. I did not hide the MSRP like other auctions/sellers and yes of course, ADM was paid. I work very closely with PCARMARKET and the reserve on this car is on the LOW end of current asking prices for similar cars.

You don't have to hunt/haggle for an allocation for months, then wait another year and a half for the car only to show up with missing equipment because of "production issues". You can have this GT4RS TODAY and I think we all know the value of that...

    @jeff3rs no PPF, no.

  • GTickle05 1 yearago

Word on the street is they have programmed this car to run through production to end 2024. In 2025, whatever comes for the 718 platform will have some form of electrification - either 100% or hybrid.

I’ll be the first one to say this is the best sports car money can buy at any price.

  • PCARMARKET 1 yearago

@byeretirementmoney we prefer no one discusses price at any level. If this were your auction, you would want us to be watching over to make certain that the discussion stay relevant to the car. The bidding determines sentiment on price. Thank you for your understanding

I have a similar spec (blue wheels and ceramics). I have had the pleasure of owning/driving/racing all the Porsche GT cars. The GT4RS is spectacular and among the best of the best. The sounds!, handling, performance of 4.0 coupled with the smaller feel makes this a great Porsche GT. To me, it feels more like a 997 GT3RS (with a PDK..) than the new 992 GT3RS does. It will be a classic.

  • ElCubano (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@550Spyderman, so this GT4’s RS will not be limited in production. So I can assume the model is coming back in 2025, maybe 2026? In 2025 Porsche is going 80% electric overall

  • Wmkevin7 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Being the last mid engine cayman and with the added GT3 engine, and in 2025 they are going to EV, I think the values will hold steady to grow. And the airbox is intoxicating! Rode in one recently and it’s indescribable! The best I can describe it is “Like a hot rod sound inside!”
I’ve owned many supercars and actually most excited to get mine very soon!
Who ever wins this bid will not regret the price! Drive it and please track it! That’s what it’s made for!

  • NOLADRIVER (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@byeretirementmoney I read your comment, very helpful.

  • byeretirementmoney (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@550Spyderman That's good info that I was unaware of. It seems the moderators removed my comment? I thought my comment was respectful and relevant. Perhaps if I speculated that the market was going higher they would have allowed that.

  • jeff3rs (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    Does the car have ppf?

  • 550Spyderman 1 yearago

@byeretirementmoney In a video when the GT4 RS was unveiled, Porsche’s GT Cars project chief ( name escaped my memory), when asked if it would be a very limited build said “No it will not be limited, we intend to have a party with the RS, building as many of these cars as we can before the Cayman platform becomes all electric.” Last I heard that would be 2025. There are a good number of them popping up now. Saw one in Indy the end of May and another in Tennessee a week ago. Quite possibly supply will put the brakes on the lunacy.

@NOLADRIVER there’s also a thing called dealer/customer loyalty. When I told them 100k over was crazy they came back with, “well, how much over will you pay?” They were going to try to get me for 100,000 bucks. When I balked they were willing to negotiate. That’s when I became a no longer loyal customer. Call it what you want, I call it greed, and it is largely spurred on by resellers. Profiteers, not Porsche owner/enthusiasts who acquire the car from a dealer to drive and enjoy it. I can afford to participate, but refused to do so. That’s just me. To each their own.

  • 550Spyderman 1 yearago

@NOLADRIVER I was offered a GT4 RS build by my dealer for 100k over window sticker. For 45 years I have been a multiple business owner and a capitalist believing in the fair market system, but Greed is a terrible thing!

Just Curious - How much of an ADM did the seller pay?
