Up for auction is this rare and highly sought-after 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S Cabriolet.  Finished in the unique combination of Forest Green Metallic over a Natural Brown leather interior,  it would be almost impossible to find a duplicate of this example (if one even exists).  Representing Porsche’s ultimate Cabriolet model, this stunning 2005 example features a legendary Mezger flat-six engine, PCCB Ceramic Composite Brakes and a desirable 6-speed manual transmission.  Having been kept up to date on all scheduled service by an authorized Porsche dealership, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction showing just over 17k miles on its odometer.

The rarely seen Forest Green Metallic finish on this Turbo S is stated to be in excellent condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  Unique to this example, a few exterior panels have been special ordered in matching Forest Green Metallic paint including the front air intake vents, side skirts, and spoiler lip.  You will also notice yellow painted brake calipers thanks to the Porsche carbon ceramic brakes (PCCB).  Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires with ample tread life, the 18" factory Turbo-Twist wheels are featured in a bespoke color for the Turbo S model exclusively.

Commanding an original sticker price of over $148k, this Turbo S showcases a luxurious Natural Brown leather interior.  Exclusive factory options include Porsche crested headrests, Natural Brown floor mats and heated power front seats with adjustable lumbar support.  The cabin is stated to be in exemplary condition with the only flaw being slight wear on the driver's side seat bolster.  All gauges, electronics and accessories are said to remain fully functional.  An image of the full build sheet is provided within the photo gallery.

Power comes from a highly regarded 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine. Thanks to the X50 power package that is standard on the Turbo S, power is rated at 444 HP stock.  Utilizing crank driven oil pumps and a dry-sump design, this GT1 derived engine resists oil surge while avoiding costly IMS related issues.  All four wheels are driven by way of a smooth 6-speed manual transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4 seconds.  Advanced PCCB Ceramic Composite Brakes provide consistent stopping power even during the most demanding driving conditions.  This Turbo S features a dealer installed aftermarket Fabspeed exhaust system which greatly enhances exhaust flow and sound.  Having always been maintained by an authorized Porsche dealership, this Turbo S underwent a recent full service and is being offered in fantastic driving condition.

The sale of this rare 996 will include a master key, original books, service records and a clean Carfax report.  With a breathtaking configuration and low mileage, this Mezger Turbo S is the an excellent opportunity for a discerning collector/enthusiast.

@Cuttysark the few small blemishes the car had were all touched up before listing, so absolutely no work needing to be done.

  • Cuttysark (registered bidder) 4 years, 1 monthago

Any body work needed? Any dents or dings or blemishes? Beautiful example! I’m in!

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 1 monthago

@kschlobohm forgot to mention that the reason it lists 4 owners is because the car went through an estate and a trust within the same family, and had to be titled as such.

@Dozer yes the paint is original and quite unique pairing with the tan leather interior. Yes, it does have a clear bra covering the front bumper and bottom portion of the hood.

  • Dozer (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Is the paint all original? Any clear bra?

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@rickmilligan928 Sorry Rick. The window sticker was not provided by the original owner upon the vehicle’s purchase in 2014.

@kschlobohm The window sticker is the factory paper work that is adhered to the window at the dealer's lot when the car is new. Collector cars often have them; I just sold a 34 year old Porsche that had it.

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@rickmilligan928 the service records date back to 2014 when the vehicle was purchased from its original owner; however, the CarFax report listed above would show if any major repairs or services were done before then.
I'm not sure which window sticker you're referring to, but there's a sticker on the windshield from the last oil change and tune up that was performed at Hilton Head Porsche just a couple of months ago. The car was trailered back and hasn't made it past the driveway since then. Does this answer your question? Thank you

  • rickmilligan928 (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Hello, are the service records back to purchase? Do you have the window sticker?

@jtchristopher it is noticeable but not overpowering. It’s a really dynamic system in that you can produce such a variety of throaty nuances just by playing with the throttle. It will get attention on the street just because of the bass rumble on it but it’s not loud and obnoxious like most of the exhaust systems you hear out there. It really has a beautiful sound, like what you’d desire out of an exotic car. Does this answer your question?

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@Kozy4494 yes rear script was removed; however the Turbo S logo still appears engraved under passenger/driver-side doors and on the dash. No paint work at all, except a thin panel underneath the front fender was recently replaced because the original was scuffed from first owner (low clearance). Replacement is also genuine Porsche component

  • Kozy4494 (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

    Beautiful Car-
    Noticed no rear model script...
Possible part of “special instructions” on options?
    Any paint work at all?
    Thank you-

  • jtchristopher (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Perhaps better asked, is it tastefully a bit louder or not at all different from factory. I made the mistake in years past with the installation of an aftermarket exhaust and it was brutally loud. Also, do you have an overrev report.

BTW, I had this identical car as a hardtop - 2004.

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@DriverM spoiler works incredibly smoothly. All actuators in good condition. It will go up automatically as well over 90mph

  • kschlobohm (seller) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@jtchristopher I do not unfortunately. Although I’m not sure why one would want to do that.

  • jtchristopher (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

By any chance do you have the factory exhaust and in suitable condition to be reinstalled - thanks.

  • DriverM (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@CBRacerX. Thanks. I know that sometimes while they go up and down, the operation is not smooth and a sign that there are issues. It's not an easy fix. I just want to make sure that the spoiler operates properly with no issues.......

  • CBRacerX (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

@DriverM - spoiler is up and down in pics.

  • DriverM (registered bidder) 4 years, 2 monthsago

Does the rear spoiler work? I have had issues with them in the past....
