Presented in Arctic Silver Metallic with a Graphite Grey convertible soft top, this 996 rides on optional 18” Sport Design wheels with colored Porsche center crests and Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires from 2021 with 90% remaining tread reported. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, dual exhaust outlets, and aftermarket headlight covers. The cabin presents Graphite Grey standard leather upholstery including optional supple leather front and rear seats. Other options include Porsche-crested headrests, the Power Seat Package, aluminum and leather shifter and brake handles, metal door sills with model insignia, and interior-colored floor mats. Minor signs of wear are noted and black Porsche-branded rubber floor mats have been added. The seller confirms all gauges, electronics, and accessories to be in working order.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power is handled by fixed four-piston brake calipers paired with cross-drilled rotors at the front and rear. According to the seller, the original clutch remains in excellent condition, the IMS bearing has not been replaced yet, and the brakes have about 80% life remaining. Recently, the suspension was aligned and the wheels were balanced. The hydraulic rams for the convertible top have been rebuilt, and a new battery has been installed. Emissions have been recently passed, and the CARFAX report shows 11 service history entries.

With the price of 997 generation 911s steadily increasing, the 996 should not be overlooked as a relatively inexpensive way to get into a car that drives like only a 911 can and holds its value. This car has been thoroughly inspected by a reputable North Atlanta Porsche shop. It is mechanically very sound, with everything working as it should. Because it still has the original clutch, the IMS bearing has not been replaced (this can be done along with the first clutch replacement, which is not needed for some time). The most recent owner had the car a little over a year and spared no expense to inspect and correct anything required. The car was kept in a climate-controlled garage and was used only sparingly during the most recent ownership.”

@oneslyone Thank you! The discoloration I refer to is hard to see in pictures, and it's not associated with those headlight trim pieces. It's very light and is mostly unnoticeable. I did not try to remove it but suspect it can be removed with light buffing. The headlight trim pieces only cover the headlight assembly plastic and no painted surfaces. There is an adhesive that will need to be removed but we have removed those before on 986 and 996 Porsches with no residue. It's not my style but I left it to the new owner to either remove or leave as is.
I expect the hood discoloration is related to the headlight eyelid cover trim. I understand the covers are glued in place, so a respray would have to happen on the car. It's a nice low-mileage 911 Cab. German engineers prefer silver because they say it best shows the car's lines. GLWTA
My Porsche shop helped a friend to find and purchase the car of her dreams, this 996 Cabrio. We inspected it, did any service and maintenance it required and it basically sat in her garage where she could admire it. After about a year of ownership and having driven the car only 100 miles or so, she has decided to let another Porsche enthusiast enjoy the car and drive it as it was intended.
