Pairing a 6-speed manual transmission with its twin-turbocharged Mezger engine derived from the legendary GT1 race car, this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe comes finished in Black over a matching full leather interior. Originally delivered through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program, this meticulously maintained example also features a front bumperette deletion, heated front seats, aluminum instrument dials, aluminum and leather shifter and brake handles, metal door sills with model insignia, and more. Showing approximately 85k miles on the odometer, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.
Finished in Black, this Turbo features model-specific bumpers, wide fenders with side air intakes, flared rocker panels, red brake calipers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a sunroof, and optionally deleted front bumperettes. An OEM Porsche front lip spoiler has also been fitted. Red brake calipers are mounted behind 18” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2023 in like-new condition. The seller notes slight signs of road wear on the bumper, hood, rocker, and quarter panel, along with a blemish on the gas door near the hinge. Swirl marks are noted, although the paint is said to present very well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor front-end damage in February 2016.
The cabin presents Black full leather upholstery with exclusive Porsche-crested headrests, aluminum instrument dials, and metal door sills with model insignias. Additionally, aluminum and leather shifter and brake handles were selected, along with Black floor mats with Porsche lettering, an AM/FM radio with a CD player, and the Heated Front Seats Package. The seller notes minor wear on the driver’s door sill along with very slight signs of wear throughout.
Powered by a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the 996 Turbo sends up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, in stock form, to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achievable in approximately 4 seconds, with stopping power coming from fixed 4-piston calipers and 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller adds that a Bilstein PSS10 coilover kit has been fitted, and service records from Intersport in Dulles, Virginia, totaling $25 will accompany the sale. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title, some service documentation, owner's manuals, and manufacturer's sales literature.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for checking out this delicious 996 Turbo! Only 84917 miles from new. The car is completely stock except for brand-new Bilstein PSS10 shocks. Recent drive line service. Refreshed seals. Turbo wheels are in great shape. The car has been meticulously maintained with over $25k in service records available to the buyer. Open the sunroof and bask in the turbo noises!”
