Available for auction is this 1968 Chevrolet Corvette C3 convertible finished in Rally Red over a black leather interior. This 1968 example came factory equipped with a 327ci HE-code V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Having undergone a restoration under previous ownership, this Corvette was refinished in its current Rally Red color and upgraded both mechanically and cosmetically. Notable features include a set of staggered American Racing wheels, a Weber 4-barrel carburetor, an upgraded sound system, power steering, Bilstein dampers, and more. This Corvette is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.

This Corvette was refinished in two-stage Rally Red during its restoration and has been fitted with a C2 “stinger” style hood and a new convertible soft top, while its front and rear fenders have been flared to accommodate larger wheels. An inspection was carried out by Auto Appraisal Network of Laguna Niguel, California in October of this year and the body and finish were reported to be in very good overall condition. Additional images can be found in the gallery. Details include polished rocker trim, a chrome luggage rack, fender vents, dual chrome exhaust outlets, pop-up headlights, and a convertible soft top in black. It rides on a set of staggered diameter 17”/18” American Racing chrome alloy wheels dressed in BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp 2 tires from 2018 and 2019.

The cabin was completely restored with black leather Sport Bucket seating and new matching carpets, door panels, and a new center console. Auto Appraisal Networks inspection notes the cabin remains in very good condition with the exception of the dashboard, instrument panel, and rear shelf which are reported to be in good condition. Amenities include an I-Did-iT tilt steering column, a flat bottom billet steering wheel, a dashboard clock, roll-up windows, lap belts, and a Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo connected to an Alpine 4-channel amplifier.

Power comes from a numbers matching 327ci HE-code V8 engine which was rebuilt, stroked, and bored .030 over and fitted with a Comp cam, an Edlebrock Victor Jr. high rise aluminum intake manifold and 644cc aluminum heads, a Weber 750 cfm 4-barrel carburetor, an Accel electronic distributor, Taylor ignition wires, a 4-core aluminum radiator and electric cooling fans, ceramic coated headers, and a custom chambered dual exhaust system. The engine bay was accessorized with an aluminum overflow reservoir, a polished Power Master high output aluminum alternator, and a chrome air cleaner, valve covers and power steering reservoir. The rear wheels are driven by way of a Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission with a Clutch Masters clutch kit and a lightweight flywheel. The suspension has been upgraded with all-new front and rear springs, tie rods, Bilstein dampers, and more. Stopping power comes from 4-wheel power disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors.

This sale will include a clean title.
